What we learn from watching BC Parks availability

We read the reservation system every few minutes to answer one question: where can you camp this weekend. Along the way we see how often booked sites come back, how soon before the stay, and how fast they go again. We write it up here as we go.

When booked BC Parks campsites come back: the first eight days16,551 booked site nights came back in 8 days. 57% were for a stay within the week, and 29% of the ones taken again were gone within an hour.Report 1 · 2–9 Sep 2026 · published 10 Sep 2026
